Copperhead Strike

Astronaut Training Experience (ATX)

Designed to immerse guests in the role of an astronaut, this two-day experience features state-of-the-art training equipment and simulators.  Patricipants train in ANTIGRAVITY, walk on the surface of a VR MARS, land a capsule and drive a rover, and take off from Earth.

Once trained, they go to Mars on the MTV (Mars Transit Vehicle), a fully-realized interplanetary shuttle.  Once they arrive, the airlock doors open into MARS BASE ONE, a complete facility with labs and scientific experiments.

Project was targeted at 5th graders with an eye to providing challenges to users of all ages.  Developed in conjunction with NASA and JPL, the ATX features emerging technologies and promotes team-based and science-founded experiences.  This project was a complete overhaul of an existing building on the Visitor Center Campus at Kennedy Space Center.

Milliken Outdoor Adventure Center, Detroit MI

Discover Michigan's natural wonders in the heart of downtown Detroit!  This project was a renovation of an existing industrial building that was decaying on the Detroit waterfront.  Now, the entire neighborhood has been revitalized as a series of beautiful parks and public spaces.

The Outdoor Adventure Center features an indoor waterfall and a massive hollow tree you can climb through.  There snowmobile, ATV, and bicycle simulators, classrooms, interactive touch experiences, forest trails, and even a beaver lodge!

This project was developed in conjunction with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources.  Renovation by others, responsibilities included themed design and integration.

Crayola Experience, Orlando FL

Color comes alive at the Crayola Experience in Orlando Florida— a combination of interactive media and hands-on play allows guests to explore their creative side. There are crayon molds and digital characters that react to your dance moves, coloring pages that animate and places for bouncing and climbing. The experience is populated by ‘Tips’ and ‘Pips’, crayon creatures whose colorful mayhem add to the fun!

Services for this project included facade design, aquatic play, design of tip characters and production management. Additional work for corporate headquarters and further locations.
